The 2026 JA Stock Market Challenge is an exciting, hands-on competition that brings the world of investing to life for high school students across the Borderland. Before competition day, students participate in Junior Achievement's Take Stock in Your Future program, where they learn the fundamentals of investing, risk and reward, market trends, and how current events can influence financial markets.
Students then put their knowledge into action as they compete in a live stock market simulation. Working in teams, they analyze market activity, respond to breaking news, make investment decisions, and adjust their strategies in real time, all while developing critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and financial literacy skills.
The excitement extends beyond the classroom through the Investor's Showdown, where business and community leaders step onto the trading floor for their own fast-paced stock market competition. This unique event brings together professionals, educators, and students in support of financial literacy and workforce readiness programs throughout our region.
