Young Entrepreneurs Highlighting Their Business Endeavors
Junior Achievement of the Desert Southwest is excited to partner in bringing the Acton Children’s Business Fair to Cielo Vista Mall on May 16, where young entrepreneurs ages 5–15 will have the opportunity to launch and run their own small business for a day.
Participants will develop a product or service, create a brand, build a marketing strategy, and prepare to sell their products in a real marketplace environment. Youth may participate individually or as a team of up to three (3), and the fair will feature up to 25 youth-run businesses.
To help students prepare, Junior Achievement will provide a six-week after-school entrepreneurship program leading up to the event. These weekly sessions will guide participants through the basics of starting and running a business, including idea development, pricing, marketing, and financial decision-making.
The registration fee is $25 per business, and students will receive guidance and support through the JA program as they prepare for the fair.
The Children’s Business Fair is designed to inspire creativity, build confidence, and introduce young people to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. Families, friends, and community members are encouraged to attend, shop, and support these young business owners as they bring their ideas to life.
